What is the overage for this plan? ($10 per gig or the new $10 per 500 meg)?
And also wondering if it's avail anymore.

In the market for a BYOP plan. Anyone know if this fido plan still exists? $45 much more attractive than $53....however... might be the best value out there for a reliable service between GTA and cottage up north. Anyone know of a better plan on the big nasties: Rogers/Fido or Bell/Telus?

Oh wait- after checking, this is now just $2 less than their posted plan ( aside from Spotify which I dont care about - rather have VM ) ....$53 vs $55.

Why don't you guys check out cityfone (cityphone-net-double-data-minutes-text- ... n-1554357/) apparently ppl calling are still able to get the double mins and data so for 40$ you can get 1gb and 400mins...uses the rogers network. Some of the other resellers like zoomer or rbc talk and save generally share the same deals as all are under cityfone.

I just spoke with Fido- this $45 plan isnt avail right now, but he said it "might" be back around the holidays. Suggested ordering it now at regular price of $55 and cancelling it to get $45 deal if it comes back. No contract or obligation as it is BYOP.

Checked cityphone site, for a similar plan it is $60 mo vs $55 fido.
1 gb data/ 400 weekday mins vs unlimited fido - although CPhone has bonus data for a limited time. and a deal of half price for 3 mo (I think )
not apples to apples comparison

- All things considered Id rather have Fido I think with unlimited talk

I have a 40$ 1gb, unlimited talk and Text standard (hence can get subsidized phone) plan with fido. $10 for 1gb data overage.

How complicated is it to transfer a plan and how much would this plan be worth to others in your opinion?

I don't mind to take over your plan if you are planning to give it up. Is it month to month or on a contract?

2 years ago they had the same plan for $45 but I received a flyer offering it for $40 so they gave me a permanent $5 discount to the $45 plan. Pretty good overall when you consider the 4% Fido dollars and the ~$100 or so you can get for the free standard phone.

The $45 plan on this thread does not earn Fido Dollars any more.
