Yeah it does. I found out about it through my sister. I purchased a plan for her because she is not a Rogers/Fido customer. One day she messages me and says all her contacts are telling her the name display seems to be wrong. I went online to the Rogers site and actually found a link to change the name display. I tried, didn't work, called support and they changed it for me.
Only the number is displayed when you receive a call, the person you call does get your name and number displayed if they have the feature on their line.

Yes, I ported out three months ago and the subsequent invoices (3 of them) have remained at $10.
Hey, did your home phone remain $10 / month?

Finally made the switch. How long did it take others to have their Bell number ported to Fido?

It should take less than 2 days, as required by law. You need both Fido and Bell to be on the top of their game to have a quick number port. It can happen, but if if either party drops the ball, the port will be delayed.

Once you this plan, they won't switch you off even if you cancel all your cell phone lines. You can stay at 10 bucks a month

Thinking about switching

1. How is the call quality?
2. Any distortion, dropped calls, down time?
3. Any reliability issues?

Switched to Home Service in Vancouver:
- The quality is better, my Telus landline had static
- no distortion or dropped calls, but have not used it much
- no reliability issues so far -- it uses the Fido/Rogers cell signal

Bonus: pay less per month, get Canada Wide calling and other calling features. I am happy so far =)

1) It sounds like a cell phone, it is obvious that it isn't a land line, but it sounds fine.
2) If you have clear Rogers/Fido signal in your home, this will work fine
3) If the cell network goes down, your home phone goes down. To my knowledge Rogers/Fido only had ONE Canada wide network outage in 2013, it was for about 3 hours, it was all over the news:

I do not know of any in 2014.

My wife is Fido pre-paid wireless user. Does she qualify as a Fido customer in this deal?

Another question. Currently I am with Telus for home phone. But I have added my wife's name to the account so that she can call in and make change to the account. Can we port our number to Fido home phone?

Thanks.

When I click on the link in the OP it shows $15. Is there no longer a distinction between Fido and non-Fido customers? I have a Fido cell plan already.

Any way I can get $10 per month in Ontario?

Would be nice to find a cheap used device too.

Mine is working but I was not yesterday I had to go get another sim. does it say voice calls blocked or try searching for a network and connect to fido if it says sim not allowed to connect to fido network then it probably got blocked.
