Can we still do the trick - talk to the cashier saying I wanna buy 100L gas to get $2.5 off but later only pump 10L ?

Even if the pump is authorized for 100L, the discount and payment method will scale itself based on the amount of fuel dispensed.

the fine print reads you go inside to have the attendant scan it. then you get the discount. not so interested to have to walk inside every time!

Or add it to the Speedpass+ app like everyone else has mentioned...

My god. I can save a dollar by standing in line at Esso instead of just pumping my gas. I honestly don't know if it's worth it.

It ends up to be $50 though.

Maybe off topic but does anyone know where I can get these cards?
I've got 10 of these from the Montreal F1 event at the esso booth there last month.

But isn't that 50 bucks for 25 times I have to actively seek out an Esso, and stand in line? Paltry rebates like this rarely make fiscal sense. If you already go to Esso, and already stand in line, then maybe?

People have added it to their speed pass, you can go that route.

While on the topic of Esso, ebatesgiftcards.ca has Esso gift cards with a 2% rebate.

Update: it's $5 off $100 on ebay.

It's for those peeps that will drive out of their way because Gas Buddy says there's cheaper gas at other side of town......
