U will see credit after second billing cycle
Or the agent messed up his contract like that other guy reported few pages back and there are no discounts applied to his account, knowing that on the second bill would suck (since he would be stuck with the contract for 2 years with no way to prove he signed up as part of a promo).

Wow, nice find.

With extra controllers too.

7.99 shipping is a bit high though. Total price comes in at 54.22.

Funny I think at 45$ all in I would grab it. Lol.

What we need is someone who just signed up a regular fido line to see if the same conditions apply. It was section 8.
That is standard Fido contract text, just checked my newest 2 year agreement (from earlier this month) and Section 8 is exactly the same.
Actually it's not subsection i (that is meant to cover agreements resulting from changes/amendments to existing agreements) but rather section iv (that includes marketing material as part of the agreement) that would be relevant here. But again the T&C talks about a "tablet offer" not "actual service or agreement resulting from accepting the offer", it can be easily challenged but worst case scenario is to retract the monthly $15 discount if the postpaid plan is cancelled.

No. It’s a BYOD plan, it’s my phone. And it was a one-day only deal in 2015. That’s why it’s so cheap.
Thanks. It's a good deal still.

Thanks OP, called Fido and checked qualification. i was on their list, and talked with the rep regarding no fido perks showing up. He mentioned to me that their systems have a glitch and was not sent out to all users.

So guys who ever has Fido cell phone plan, call that number and find out! you'll be missing a free deal! Oh, BTW, he did mention that you will be paying taxes on the tablet only. which is like 35-40 dollars.

Forgot to mention, they will do a credit check as well.
My memory's a little fuzzy, but there was something about screwed up contracts and being charged taxes on an earlier Fido tablet promo.
Maybe someone else remembers?

Make sure you document everything, just in case.

Correct, though that was before they changed the promo from "free tablet" to "$0 tablet with full taxes". Now charging taxes conforms with the T&C, and those that aren't charged are just lucky.

Yea but taxes are like $35 - $40 only, compared to the entire deal its great. And the tablet has a 500Mah battery! That is ridiculously good.

Got a question though to anyone, I have OP7Pro which is a dual sim phone. Can I use this Data plan on that phone in conjunction with my existing plan from Fido? How would I know which data I am using? Anyone done this before please advise thanks!

The Fido tablet plan will work on a phone. They don't care how the data is consumed. Typically in a dual SIM card phone, you select which SIM to use for data and calling. That will be where each service draws from.

Correct.

But if you're past the 24 month term on the original free tablet you can still get the Samsung Tab A for $0 on a new 24 month commitment plus $35 activation fee. If you're currently on a 50% loyalty discount they'll carry that over too. FWIW when I called them I said that my original LG G Pad III was broken and I was looking for a replacement.
