Fighting Ontario Traffic Violations
I was pulled for failing to stop at a red light, apparently. Its complete crap as I was turning on the red, stopped and rolled forward to make the turn, the cop thinks that stopping then rolling to make the turn somehow means I didnt stop first. Idiot.
Anyways I have the ticket and am going to put it in for a trial.
The ticket says I was booked at Elliotte Street, but there is not Elliotte Street, I was on Elliott street. I know this is a minor spelling error, any chance this would get it thrown out without me having to fight the cop on wether he saw me stop first?
Thanks!

A misspelling of the street name is not a fatal error - the ticket can be amended with the correct spelling. A fatal error is something like the HTA section not being cited or the officer failing to sign the ticket.
You're not likely to win this one unless the officer fails to show.

this is a ******** ticket, my brothers girlfriend got a similar ticket but she made her right turn on a GREEN light.
the officer needs to be able to see the white line or whatever determines the "stop point" at the intersection. if he cannot see it clearly from where he was then he cant say you broke the law.
go take some pictures asap. sooner the better, and preferably around the same time of day and be sure to note the weather conditions.
