Finally tried the chicken at Jollibee Scarborough. The tent was half full at 5 pm but still waited 1 hr to get in the door. It's amazing the amount of effort people make to try a different take on food. Normally I would go to Popeyes or KFC for my fried chicken fix but it's nice to try a different brand of fried chicken. Definitely enjoyed the Jollibee chicken and gravy. Won't be frequenting this place since it's too far and inconvenient for me but I'm thankful that it's available in Toronto.

Despite some sad news happening recently, I'm glad to enjoy the simple things in life. Eating fried chicken, seeing Thanos wreck havok in the new movie, Raptors competing in the playoffs. Overall, Jollibee is a welcome addition to the variety of food establishments in the GTA.

Seems like the hype is dying down a bit. I shall plan my visit soon or just maybe wait for the Mississauga location.
Good luck!

I just noticed this place is open until 11pm. Wondering how the wait and food quality is if you show up at like 10PM

If the line is already an hour long, if you show up at 10pm you will be turned away.

Makes sense I guess what I'm really asking is if there's any substantial line longer than lets say 15-20 min at that point. I'm like a 10 min drive away and eat late often anyways so that's why im wondering

There seems to be 2 camps. The pino camp say the chicken is the best, reminds them of home, pino fastfood. etc. 2nd camp is non-pino/westerners/other asians and they say it taste like Popeyes. So which camp are you after tasting the chicken??

Ask again, who likes the spicy chicken and who just wants the regular chicken. It may be that the Spicy chicken DOES have just the right amount of difference, as both parties are saying it's spicier than Popeye's.

They open at 7am? Do people line up in the morning before it opens? Fried chicken for breakfast?

When the lines die down, maybe they'll start serving a real breakfast? Jollibee offers it in other parts of the world.

Finally got to go. Honestly we just wanted to kill time and was in the area.

Overrated. Expensive. Mediocre.

Philippines was slightly better but then again also way cheaper. My boy spent $70 on 6 pieces of chicken, spaghetti, two hamburgers and 5 mango.

Give me my Super Shawarma Large on the Rocks at Osmow's for $10 each.

It's amazing how people are blinded or in this case lost their sense of taste to support Filipino culture. Yes, I'm Filipino.

People had no problems spending $100+. Wow.

^ How long did you have to wait? If the wait time is a lot shorter, I definitely still wanna try their spicy chicken.

Guess people are saying the non-spicy/regular chicken is what taste like Popeye's?

90 minute wait time on Sunday, according to this tweet. The restaurant opened on April 1st.

was in the area yesterday so decided to check out the line around 6:45 pm. the wait time was "down" to 45 mins during peak dinner time hours. still too long for me to wait but it's getting a bit better...at least for a sunny weekday.
