Smart move by Jollibee, the demand curve in action!

If they can double the prices and get half the customers... they're still making the same profit.

Depends on the actual inventory. A supply and demand reality. If they mass produce a select amount of food and the right amount of people turn away, they actually end up with too much waste. Cash in the trash.
Then again, they sure seem to know what they are doing. When I was there last, they were taking orders while people were in line to get a rough idea ahead of time what to cook up...

I may not like their products but I definitely can't question their business practices. They're making money hand over fist.

Really pissed to hear this bad news because they were already more expensive than KFC and Popeye's. I haven't had Jollibee's since mid-July and I was going to pay a visit this long Civic Holiday weekend to get some of spicy chicken too. Bummer!

I don't know what profits are but sales are very good, last I heard nearly $90,000/day

The hype is over... or Mississauga is cannibalizing Scarborough? Either way I still won't be rushing over there anytime soon, if ever....

Yeah, their burgers are awful, but their spicy chicken is really good...not says me, because I don't do spicy, but says many of my non Filipino friends.
(their regular chicken is very meh, with nothing special about it)

How much did prices rise
A bucket with 6 pieces of spicy chicken was $14.99. Does anyone know the new price for this? Since I've tried most of the menu already that is generally the only thing I get for take-out now.

I went today and the lineup outside was maybe like 25 people, though many were the same family so there was maybe like 8 separate groups total.

they're getting greedy if they're increasing prices. It isn't like it's cheaper than other places.

$15.99. Peach mango pies went up 50 cents and are $2.99 now. Will probably never go back.
