I love this game, the story is better than the first one FFXIII

Almost done the game! Can't wait to finish it..I'll be done tomorrow. lol.

Just dropping in to say that the game is way too easy. I'd say I'm half way through the game and I haven't had many battles that required me to switch to my Medic. In FFXIII, it was quite frequent to be switching paradigms in order to stay alive where as for this game, I'm just mowing through all the enemies with my RAV RAV COM set up. I doubt it's cause I'm an awesome player too.

As for complaints on a crappy story, again, half way through and I find the story fine. If anything, I'm more captivated by this story as I understand it more than XIII. You don't have to read the primers in the menu to understand this one. I genuinely want to make it through this game to see how the story unfolds where as I wasn't really too sure where XIII was bringing us until the end.

So far so good I'd say.

Did you grind or play in easy mode or something? I'm at Episode 3 Part 2, never grinded, on normal mode, and I certainly need to switch to a Medic paradigm during boss battles.

yes this game is hella ez. just try killing a long gui in 13-2 . its completely different from killing one in regular 13.

Didn't grind and played on normal mode. Boss battles I've switched to Medic for but that's pretty standard. My comparison with FFXIII was that we had to switch to Medic pretty often, even in the rounds of normal battle, whereas in this game, RAV RAV COM sufficed for everything except bosses. As I finished the game, I noticed that I didn't even touch SAB, SEN or SYN at all for any battles.

I went in between RAV/RAV/RAV and RAV/RAV/COM for normal battles depending on the area. SAB, SEN, SYN weren't necessary but I used them anyways.

I don't remember having to use MED excessively in 13 either... Difficulty-wise, it felt around the same for me, though I'm only 12 hours in.

I just finished Augusta Tower 200AF, which is almost near the end of Episode 4. Is Episode 5 extremely long, or is the game extremely short? Considering that I'm only 12 hours in, sounds like the game won't be any longer than 20 hours...

The main story was great, but is really really short. Wish it was longer.

If you spent time alot of time doing side quest collecting fragments between the main story, you'll might find it easy in boss fights later as you'll earn alot of CPs.

Collecting fragments was okay but it wasn't fun doing the acedemia axx quizzes. Not only that, but when you find the Fat guy, he's almost invisible and appears randomly around the map. The Acedemia is huge and it's not fun spending all that time searching for that guy and if you get a question wrong, he disappears and you'll have to find him again. Plus, you need to find him multiply times to get all the fragments.

And the maps (Oreba) that only have puzzles like the number clocks, it wasn't even fun. I didn't expect FF game to have soo many puzzle type quest.

I need less than 20 fragments but I think I'm just going to sell the game.

I think they did this to make the game longer to get 100 percent which is fine but they did so it a way that took out the "fun" in the game in some parts.

Overall, I like the main story as it unfolds but it's the most let down FF I've every played.

Yeh FF 12 had alot of mixed reviews. I had a fun time playing 12 but I can see why others didn't like it.

I hope square/enix would start focusing on Versus and the next Kingdom Hearts.

I put down this game for a while mainly because I had no time during school. Finally finished it, I must admit I forgot half the storyline already by the time I picked it up again But all in all, good game. I can't really not suspect there's going to be a decent chance of XIII-3, though, by the way the thing ends.
