And as mentioned already, FFVI was definitely the best FF game ever.
I thought I was the only one who didn't finish FFXIII... LOL

I suspect that very few people actually did beat it, not really a positive thing...

I'm ashamed that I'm one of those

I finally finished it last night. LOL, It was like pulling teeth. A shame really, I started reading into the mythos afterwards and they actually have an interesting backstory in that universe. Too bad they didn't do jack **** to flesh it out.
Here's hoping XIII-2 and Versus will do better.

Well at the risk of being stoned, I actually did like FFXIII. Certainly there were a few things I didn't like, but over-all I was quite pleased with it. While I wasn't clamoring for a sequel, I'm definitely looking forward to FFXIII-2. Although I admit I don't really need to grab this right away. I could wait a few months for it to drop in pricing *shrugs*

To be honest, my first thought when I saw the trailer during the livestream of that conference was that the guy was a dark haired Kain, but I really don't see a connection to Bahmaut. Colours are there, sure, but Bahamut was Fang's eidolen. Why would Bahamut (as a human, somehow) take on Lightning in another plane of existence?
(Although I personally thought for lulz that it was Odin. I always thought he and Lightning they looked pretty hawt together
)

First, I too did not finish. Those trapazoidions or something are taking forever. Those elephNts just aren't pooping them out. Kinda stopped playing and the story and gameplay sucks.
Second, FF VII was the best of the series

SPOILERS
I'm guessing she's wearing Odin. And the guy is wearing Bahamut.
And technically, Fang is out of commission, so who knows what'll happen to the Eidolon when the summoner is gone.
What makes even less sense is, in the FF13 mythos, Eidolons seemingly come from Etros. And since Lightning is a protector like Etros, how can someone/something use Bahamut to go against Etro's mandate? I don't think he's Bahamut itself since every lesser being created by the Gods in that world cannot go against its mandate, which is why even someone like the Pope had to try and turn the party into Ragnarok in order to destroy the world.

Weird... all this hate for the game. FFXIII will be my first game to get a Platinum Trophy for. While it's certainly not a GREAT game. It's kept it interesting enough for me to want to complete the trophies.

Oh whoa, I didn't even think of that. But at the end of the game, didn't their l'cie marks disappear? I thought that was what connected the eidolens to their users? But yeah, good point, maybe eidolens can be doing their own things xD
(Although if it really is that kind of armour, the feathers don't make sense since he was more about the rose petals effects *ponders*)
lol, I haven't really properly looked at the game's mythology. I still have to read that novella that supposedly bridges the gap between FFXIII to FFXIII-2 (and the novella BEFORE FFXIII starts xD).

Yeah Eidolons are tied to L'Cies. Since they only appear to L'Cies.
As for my Odin comment, yeah, the rose motif is not there, I was more looking a the designs and the engraving on Lightnings armor which kind of look like Odin's.

Well, I'm looking forward to XIII-2.
Didn't enjoy XIII that much, but that might have been my expectations being a bit too high.

FFXIII is a terrible game. Just adding my fuel to the fire.
