Firefox 3.5 - horrible!
I don't know why I went from firefox 3.0 to 3.5, but it's garbage! Mozilla promised be it would be faster, grrr...
Anyways, whenever I open a normal link, sometimes it gives the "web page can not be displayed" stuff, and I have to refresh to get the page to open. This even happens on youtube. It's not the site, the site if perfectly fine, but it just won't open first try until I refresh. I never had any problems with opening web pages before on firefox 3.0.
Apparently other people are having this problem as well (source: quick google search).
Anyone having this problem or any other problems with firefox 3.5?

nope. My FF 3.5 is working silky smooth. In fact, I'm very pleased with the performance boost and it is noticeable.
The problem with 3.5 is that it breaks the support with a lot of add-ons. It could be that some of your add-ons are causing the problems. Have you tried surfing on safe mode for a while to isolate add-ons being an issue?

performance "Boost" is not noticeable at all, 3.0 and 3.5 feel relatively the same except for some very very minor changes i've actually noticed - not bad but not epic either

doesn't seem any faster to me.
major prob i'm having is opening multiple tabs at once. 3.5 seems to not be able to handle that as well as 3. on 3, I could open my tabs and they will all load and I would be able to access them right away. Now on 3.5 ff will freeze for a bit while they all load before I can start browsing._______________

Try saving your profile folder to somewhere then deleting it and opening firefox again this will create a new profile. You can then import your bookmarks from the saved profile. You will find the profile, in vista :C\users\username\appdata\roaming\mozilla. In XP :C\users\username\application data\mozilla.

FF 3.5 is a beta for pete's sake. The first thing one needs to do whwn trying a FF beta is ensure they do so without using their old profile and the easiest way to do that is as I suggested.
The extensions and even themes you are running in 3.0 are likely not compatable, and though firefox checks for this and dissables any it sees as possible trouble there is always the potential for trouble with addons and other settings within your profile. Back it up, delete it then try the beta.

Guns don't kill people, people kill...oh wait, guns do kill people. So do knives, cars, cigarettes, AIDS, and old age. Let's ban them all!
