Firefox glitch today
I've been running 2 versions of Firefox on my system with separate profiles, an old one that allows me to keep my unsigned addons, and an up-to-date one. They've be co-existing nicely for 18 months. Today when I ran the up-to-date one it gave me one of its usual annoying warnings that it was arbitrarily disabling one of my addons that is no longer supported. When I went to use old Firefox, that profile was trashed - all bookmarks and all extensions gone. No idea what went wrong. I was able to restore a backup of the old profile folder and I'm attempting to update recent changes from there, but this is really annoying.
So if you're using two different Firefox versions, make a backup of the profile folders right away. There appears to be a new glitch causing cross-profile corruption.
