First time completing own tax refund, suggestions?

it will be my first time, should i be just bring it to professionals and let them complete it for me? or should i give programs a try? Recommendations for places or software is greatly welcomed. Currently i have 2 t4's (one from last year, one for this year), and i just started university, so i will be claiming tution too. Thx in advance.

My suggestion is that you try to do it yourself. Right now, your taxes are easy so it is the perfect time to get a feel for how it all works. The problem with the programs and getting others to do it, is that most people never really understand how taxes are calculated (and hence we have many of the same tax discussions on RFD every year) since the programs just do it all automatically. It is really quite straightforward to do yourself.

However, if you are hesitant then I would go somewhere since you have to file for last year as well. The programs have to be updated each year since taxes change.
