u would prolly want to use the "search" function on this forum. There have been MANY discussions on Gyms and Gym Memberships.

Which Fitness Gym to join in Markham?
Hi everyone,
I'm looking for a fitness Gym to join within the Markham area. I've already tryed Goodlife and Premier fitness, however, I found their rates to be more expensive than I originally anticipated, especially when they charge a range from $30-50 bi-weekly. Furthermore, i found their prices are more reflected towards the classes they offer, when I really only wanna use the machines. Goodlife (even with my company discount) can be as much as $60 per month. Premier was the cheaper one (at $55 per month), but I found the atmoshere and cleanliness became an issue (Esna park location).
I was wondering if I could get any good advice as to a good Gym that is within Markham, more reasonably priced (desire under $45 per month), clean, tidy, and a wide selection of machines for me to use.
Thanks, really appreciate it!

wow... 16 biweekly is sweet. Im paying 30 i believe.
Honestly though, dont cheap out on gym membership and have to drive longer to reach the place. Pick the most convienant location for you, or youll eventually wind up in the whole "egh, its too far, ill go some other time" trap

Jun 3rd, 2006 10:03 AM #13that is gread advice. Lots of gyms hope you sign up for a year and end up not going after a month or two. It's easy especially if u go alone, to say "eh not today, i'm tired". I pay 17 bi weekly and that's with someone else on my plan but when I had 4 ppl it was 16.

Seriously just take a tour during Monday nights, which is usually the busiest night for gyms
