Which flash?
I tried to search but couldn't find a similiar topic. I'm thinking about getting a flash for my Canon XS. I did some light research and found the Sigma EF500 Super. Reviews seem good but I can't find it for sale anywhere in Canada. There is the 530 super but its almost 300 dollars. Any suggestions?

if you're willing to shell out $300, why not go for the canon 430ex? you may even be able to pick up a used 530ex mk1

I don't want to spend 300 dollars. I'd rather get away with spending the least amount possible but still have decent features. I guess the best bang for the buck? I wish I could find the Sigma EF500 Super I have a feeling its actually under 200 dollars. If I could find it

Try and find a used 430EX Mark I. They are going for about 160-180US so you should hopefully be able to find them for about $200-220CAD used here.
I personally think the best bang for buck would be a used 580EX MKI, but that's over your budget. ($300US range used)_______________
