Typically I would say every one has a puncher's chance. But I just can't see it here. Where Conor excels with his hands in MMA is not only his strength, but the odd angles he can connect from. Those angles created by takedown faints as well as head/body/leg lick faints. So there goes that. Translated into boxing, similar angles created by someone like Pacquiao, which Money adapted to with ease.

I agree that Money has aged and hasn't fought a whole lot at 154, but when he did it wasn't an issue. He doesn't have knockout power, but will pick Conor apart for 12 rounds. He last fought less than 2 years ago, he will no doubt have some rust. But I just can't see that hampering his typical performance of slip-counter make you look slow AF style.

Always super excited when Money fights. I love fighters who throw hands with no regard, but equally love fighters who have amazing footwork and speed. The build-up is gonna be epic, as Conor has modeled his shit-talking Mayweathers, and to finally have both fighters be able to "talk the talk" will be just as exciting as the fight itself!
Totally agree with your logic, but being a MMA fan (over boxing) I'm just hoping for that magical unicorn to appear. Face With Tears Of Joy

Conor's devastating left hand works well in conjunction with the smaller MMA gloves that not only enable him to hit harder (relative to the padding on a boxer's gloves), but boxing gloves act as bigger shields and more effective defensive tools.

Also, Conor's last 5-round slugfest vs. Nate Diaz in their second match...he was gassing around the 3rd round mark. He will have difficulty with regards to boxing's conditioning standards, and he will be even more laboured with the heavier gloves. His output is going to suffer.

If they were working with the MMA gloves, I would give Conor a KO chance. However, with the boxing gloves on (and Floyd's brilliant defense--speed, shoulder, hands effectively blocking unlike many MMA fighters), I really don't see Conor winning.

However, even if he loses, he still wins! And we get to have fun. It's win for everyone really. Smiling Face With Open Mouth And Smiling Eyes

Anyone know where I can watch the fight in Niagara Falls on the Canadian side?
There are lots of places in NF to watch the fight such as Hoops Sports Bar and Hooters. When I'm in Niagara Falls, I usually end up watching fights at the Shoeless Joe's bar which is located right inside the Fallsview Casino complex. There is an entrance from the outside as well.

I'm absolutely rooting for Mayweather all the way. However, I just hope the fight delivers and does not disappoint like the Pacquaio garbage fight.

I'm not sure why people say Money vs PacMan disappointed. Money fought the way he always does and was expecting to fight. Result and style of the fight were as expected.

Mayweather is too safe of a fighter too. He wouldn't take it on unless he knows he will win.

Especially since they're using 10-oz at this weight class, more padding for MW's fragile hands too.
The shorter rounds, lack of kicking/wrestling/TDD will help CG a bit but..CG's plan is to take him out before 6th round...if he doesn't then GG, no chance whatsoever after that.

Just to watch Connor baller strut into the ring is worth the price of the PPV!
And yes, Connor will gas after the 5th rd....this is a 12 rd match...he won't do much in the later rds...lol!!
This is more than just a fight..this is entertainment! Lol!

Agreed, with typical MW fighting style and MP on shoulder injury, didn't expect much out of it.

Yeah man, entertainment value wise...this is a mega event!!

The hype, trash talk...buildup will be phenomenal!!!

It will be an amazing spectacle and I like it....won't do much for boxing...well, might get a few more fans...

But this will be entertaining nonetheless!!

I noticed he travels in massive entourages, so food, accommodation and entertainment etc adds up.
