Same as the vomit comet NASA uses to train astronauts. The plane goes up and then arcs back down to earth. During the decent the plane is fast enough to counter the effects of gravity. If you watch the video you can see the ground in behind move in to view as they head nearly strait up and then as they start their arc it goes away. The sunlight also shows it.

I have a friend who's a pilot and he took me up one day. We got up to around 6,000ft and he started doing some maneuvers. After a few, he started doing the roller-coaster style arcing up-and-down like in this video.

I had a cell-phone with me and when he began a descent, I let go of it. We were descending at the same rate as gravity so the phone just hovered in mid air, (relative to the cabin). It was just like you'd expect in space. I hit the end of the phone and it began spinning on its axis. It was awesome.

The only problem is he had another plan. As soon as the phone was in the correct position, he pulled up hard.... and we stopped descending. The phone didn't. Damn thing squared me like you wouldn't believe. He found it pretty amusing. Guess I deserved it since I used to tazer him pretty frequently.
