Mother's Pizza in Hamilton's Westdale area - miss that place, lots of fond memories. I remember a Red Barn too but I think I only ate there once as a little kid - yummy hamburger. I used to like Pizza Delite too.

I have a pretty good memory for old fast food places that don't exist anymore (ie Mother's, Big Boy, Frank Vetere's...etc) but I don't recall Red Barn. When were they around, and when did they go down? Maybe they didn't have any in the 'Bro?
On a side note. Does anybody remember when all the Pizza Huts were all designed in a "Hut" fashion? There used to be one like that at Kennedy and Ellesmere in the 'Bro. It went out of business in the late 70's/early 80's and became the "Chinese Hut". For some reason that used to make me laugh when I was a kid. I'm not sure if it is still the Chinese Hut, but the building is still there.

I think they still have Pizza Delight down East, as I've seen some commercials for them on Expressvu.

LOL, the Chinese Hut. It's still there. The food is actually pretty good. Reasonably authentic rural Shanghainese cuisine.

Red Barns lasted I think untill mid 1970's
go here for a little nostalgia

There was one on either Lawrence or Eglinton at Warden near the old Golden Mile. There was also one on Dundas just East on Dixie road in Mississauga, the structure still stands I think it is now a Mr Sub.
I thought of another old burger place that some cottagers may remember. I can remember the drive to Keswick as a 7yr old kid going up Hwy 48 (Markham Road) The signs for Brices Burger Bar kept my occupied almost the whole trip.

what about *a&w's*, didnt they deliver to the car ala happy days...
I thought I heard they were going to try that concept again.
Trolls was good. Looks like only the original locations are still open.
Bonanza was one I don't miss. I'm surprised they still seem to be open in SK.
