If this applies to McChicken sauce then we're in business.

It was being cleared out at Loblaws (Barrie) for $0.99. Big bin of it at the back by the meats... Guess sales haven't been so good?

Yeah, Loblaws in Ottawa is doing the same thing. I think stores got too many in stock and most of them should be expiring in January.

Same at mine, Yonge and Yonge Blvd., between North York and Lawrence in Toronto. I think it was actually $0.94

Can't speak for the Mac sauce but the McChicken sauce tastes more like tartar sauce than the stuff you get in the restaurant.

Actually, not too bad as a substitute. Plus onion and garlic powder.

But for 1.99 or 0.99, I'd try it. 3.99 original price is too expensive for these sauces.

Agreed. $0.99 is a good price to try.

Why?

Yes I know it's not exactly the same, it's just a RFD substitute. :D

I cook a lot and when it comes to fast food restaurants, a lot of their special sauces and ingredients are just combinations of other regular ingredients.

It was 'on sale' for $2.99 at my local Food Basics today. Definitely YMMV

I always thought it was the original Kraft Sandwich spread which was an orange colour back in the 80s. The one you see today is closer to mayonnaise
