[Foodbasics] Act Fast - Esso GiftCard 20% off - London ON

A friend of mine just tells me Food Basic London has Esso gift card at 20% off. Not sure it is chainwide or just this store. Didn't see it in the flyer.
Location is 299 Oxford St E, London, ON N5Y 4W5, Canada

Please give a thumb up if you liked it.

This doesn't make sense.... if true, I'm surprised that the first person that noticed didn't just buy all of them.

this would be hot if available in the GTA. this plus the esso 2.5c discount card would make it cheaper than costco gas

This must be the discount card, which is usually 20%, instead of the gift card

FYI this exact thing happened at metro and was proven by a user the UPC code matched the stupid 50 value for 40$ cards (get 5c off 1000L) not the actual 50$ gift cards. See quote below:

OP is only half lying!

So the gift cards exist but they aren't regular gift cards. They're the 5 cent off per litre for 1000 litre gift cards. The regular price on these cards is only $40 so they aren't actually on sale. It's the card to the right of the $50 Esso card.

Tried to get the price adjusted on the $50 card and the supervisors wouldn't budge - their system won't let them override the price of the cards.

Too bad OP!

Through my past work life, promos like this are generally chain wide promotions supported by the supplier (Blackhawk) + Esso. A single store cannot/will not run a promo like this on their own. These cards are dead plastic until activated through their system. A single store will not choose to take a 20% loss on Gift Cards for no reason.
