Ford Recycle your ride
Hello,
Could someone go out, buy a 1995 car that is road worthy, register and insure it, then trade it into Ford for 3k? Technically I would be the owner, and technically it would have been registered to someone else for at least 6 months.
The wording doesn't really say YOU have to have been the owner and driving it for 6 months.
I know its cheesy, but I'm doing whatever I can to get the price into my budget.

You only get 3k if you buy a specific truck. If you buy a car you only get 1k so not really worth it.

I was considering the same. Buy a $200 Taurus and flip it in for 1K, lol. I do believe that YOU have to be the owner of the car for 6 months though
On a side note, do what I did and sign up to the lowest costco membership. You get 1k off just for being a member.

Correct! Must be a member as of the end of August. I am looking at a new Ford Fusion and kicking myself for not being a Costco member. I could be saving $1000.

I believe it's the other way around fellas. Like, your membership must still be active of atleast August 31st and forward. When I asked the sales manager at one of the dealerships if I could just do it now, he said "yeah not a problem. Sign up, print it off and we can use it."
