To me, for the features offered and the price point, yes.
I'm not sure you'd find anything better priced for 1080p.. Especially if you're looking for wireless-N (I am not), or something that is POE-injector-capable (which I am), or the full feature set that foscam offers.
I was eyeing the FI9820W (first gen 720p from foscam) but they had horrible reviews and complaints.. (See all the bullet points
)
When I contacted sales@foscam, they even admitted that if the issues people were complaining about were a concern for me, it would be best to wait.
Although they suggested that it would be addressed with the previous model (FI9820W), but evidently, it required newer hardware to address the issues.
Here's a comparison video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7l6xYFeD3Q8) between their older 89xx (mjpeg) cameras and their 9820 (720p/h.264) -- quality seems much better, but FoV is a lot worse, which should be addressed in this newer version...?
(Though some people argue the quality/framerate on the 89xx model is way lower than it should be.. many factors involved though -- wireless vs wired, 'low' vs 'high' quality settings, etc)Last edited by oldskool75; Jan 1st, 2013 at 11:07 PM.

I own the FI9820W and it is average. I would not recommend it. I wish the FI9821 was around when I placed my initial order.

Is foscamcanada.com and foscam.ca the same?
Looks to be, but not sure if it's a scam site since their whois info differs - however, they also have the F9821W for $159.99 with free shipping:

Coupon code doesn't work, but it seems like the better deal for Canucks?

No.
Foscam.com = manufacturer in China
Foscam.us = US-based reseller in Houston
Foscamcanada.com = Canada-based reseller in Toronto
Foscam.ca = Foscam.us company's site for the Canadian market
Warranty support is provided by the reseller, so that's why for some products at Foscam.ca it says: "RMA returns and replacements processed out of Houston"
(but for other items there, it says: "RMA returns and replacements processed out of Houston, Toronto and London" ... So they do have some facilities in Toronto. Not sure if they handle everything, though.)
Foscamcanada.com has an actual showroom that you can visit, so that's probably where I'd buy from.

Not to hijack the thread. But if you are in Ottawa and looking to buy Foscam FI8910W (Black)
I got couple of them from my Ameri friend couple of months ago at the price of 75+Tax. I still have one brand new, unopened. I can sell for 75.

This is what I'm waiting for as well. Unless I've misunderstood the product description, the FI9821W doesn't appear to support PoE. They offer a PoE injector/splitter accessory, which I understand to mean you need a device like this:
http://foscam.us/active-poe-splitter.html
...mounted near the camera. You can use this to make anything that supports 5V/9V/12V a PoE compatible device, but it's a separate box mounted near the camera. The specs don't say anything about 802.3af/at support.

Correct, it is not POE (802.3af/at) capable.. I did say POE-injector-capable (although I meant POE-splitter-capable.. i.e. voltage/amps make it a good candidate for a POE splitter). You need a splitter (and an injector if you don't have a POE switch).. I bought the TP-Link POE splitters previously from BestBuy and have an extra one waiting for this..
and it's tax+shipping in.. Damn, that is better! Hope the code lasts..
Too bad foscam.us was so damn fast at processing my order, mine is already shipped apparently.. :-\
Ah well, I head to CBI almost monthly now.. so w/e..
