I'm not sure, I have never used Netflix before. Things may or may not have changed.

There's also this Onespout deal going on right now that will give you a $25 buytopia credit for doing the netflix trial through them. It looks like all you have to do is watch 5 hours of stuff

It's always free for the first month when you sign up so the promo code that you get in the mail is useless.

Useless to consumers, but useful to the netflix affiliate that invested money to distribute those flyers....

So if it is some sort of referral code, shouldn't it be banned from posting on RFD?

From what I can tell t isn't a referral code it's a tracking code. Netflix is tracking what areas sign up and what don't with this mailout advertising campaign. Probably used to see where their advertising dollars are best spent.

I would think that Netflix can easily determine where people are signing up from from the postal code used at sign up. But anyway, if people on RFD are using the promo code posted here, that will throw off the tracking as well.

Bottom line is Netflix is free for a month without needing the promo code. However, you do need to use a credit card to get the free month and you have to remember to cancel before the 1st month is up.

I'm enjoying my first month of using Netflix. The amount of content is huge and the video quality is excellent.

However, I've been trying to figure out if there is a way to delete the "Recently Watched" queue, and apparently, there isn't, even though many customers have asked for that ability over the years and have even cancelled their membership in protest. Seems absurd that you don't have that ability and your viewing habits are open to the world to see.
