I did this last year at the branch in the Royal Bank Plaza in Downtown T.O.

The whole process took about 20 minutes. The quote they provided was higher than my existing insurer, so I obviously wasn't going to switch. As we walked out of the guy's office he said let me get you your gift card. He walked over to the reception desk and then immediately turned around and walked back to me saying that they were all out... I frowned and asked him when they would get more cards. He said he didn't know.

Luckily for me, I actually work in the area, so I told him I'd check back everyday when I walked by on my way to work. He said OK. A couple of days later I walked by and the rep saw me and flagged me down to give me my card. I am guessing that if I didn't work in the area and wasn't walking by everyday I would have been SOL.

Thanks OP! Called and get an quote, auto part is quick but when I check their house insurance price, that takes a while..

I was told the card will come around 8-10 weeks..

Wow. 2 Weeks for the card then 8-10 and 12weeks hmmm.
My friend called went through the process and after the quote asked about the card. The Rep said that he needed a Pin# or something from online. Wondering if I will ever see the card.

Ok, I just got a quote from RBC and the quote I received was almost twice as much as what I am currently paying.

Anyhow, the guy said that the Esso card should arrive in 6-8 weeks.
