Don't most Prime members use their memberships often? I use mine regularly and I haven't been qualified for these promos in a long time.

There's probably tons of people who signed up for a Prime membership but have only ever paid for things with their credit card, and have never loaded anything onto their gift card balance.

OP, please search before posting. And this is huge YMMV.

Finally, it is considered poor form to ask for upvotes.

What's your point? Begging for upvotes is not kosher. Someone around here for 5 years should know that. (And still a "newbie"??)

just bought the $100.. but when will the $7.50 show up?

I don't see the $7.50 added to my account yet..
You won't see it that way. It's not a standard $7.50 credit to your GC balance. It's a promotional credit. So you will see it applied to your order at checkout (if you're buying from Amazon.ca and not a third party seller). It will show up as "Reload Promotion: -$7.50"
To test if you have received it yet, add something to your cart and go to checkout. I received it about 5 mintues or so after reloading $100 (I got an email confirming it was added).
