Update: Just tried with gmail and it works now.
Don't quit...I've been trying all day using my gmail and yahoo mail accounts with no success. Kept getting data connection errors. First try with my ISP's email and voila, got my free number.
After activating call forwarding, keep getting "This account is not valid" message and then it just keeps on ringing.
Me thinks they are working out some bugs and didn't anticipate this many users in a short period of time.

Its not that we block PAP2's, the registration server [SBC] uses proprietary communication protocols between the Advertisement server and the telco switch + database.
The PAP2 does not have a method for us to put our application on.
We will be delivering a solution in the coming weeks where we will offer a configuration option for your ATA's, or you can buy one of ours.

Hi Gang,
Looks like we ran into our first big bug after we loaded more numbers. Inbound calls are failing from land lines or cellphones. You can call out anywhere, between users, and call forwarding from land lines works.
We will make a new software load and put an update where you can upgrade the phone. This will take us a few days given the holiday season... but we will fix it fast as we can.

Right now it is working on windows only. We wrote the application in java so porting to MAC and Linux will be easy to port.
After we finish our beta trials we will release ported phones for all.

[also if you get the Error Server message... send me a private message with your email address you registered with, and i will repair your account for you]

The domain's registered in Kitchener so I bet it's another Waterloo startup. Free phone number to get the buzz out. I hope they don't go bankrupt because I love my new number.
(When you sign up, you can click the get number button to change the number until you see one you like.)
