there is also www.ineedpopcorn.com for movies - watching nick & nora right now ;) they also have the new DEAD LIKE ME MOVIE! yay the TV series comes back as a movie!!!
Thanks for the link!

Since it looks like they carry all pre-recorded stuff I've taken the liberty of copying your post over to the "web tv show" thread.

get a slingbox! they can be had for $99 bucks sometimes at Dell and all your channels at home can be had in one place.

www.slingmedia.com
Hehe...well although that's useful to some people for some needs I think those into this thread and the web TV one are looking at it from a different angle.

Besides this is free - and this is the freebies sub-forum after all ;)

Found a live stream for Fox Japan here:

mms://202.167.254.196/FOX (for the "open url" link in WMP)

The US programming is in english though so it looks like only the commercials and infomercials (yep...they've got them tere too) are in Japanese

Found via:

http://www.tvchannelsfree.com/watch/4050/Fox-Live.html

I just found it so I haven't had time to weed though the rest of the site.

They do list hbo - but again it isn't the "real one"

Browsing through the new site for good channels that work I've come across TNT here:

http://www.tvchannelsfree.com/watch/451 ... ovies.html

Decent picture quality delivered by embedded video.

If anybody knows what that TVie logo in the corner refers to it'd rock to know to see if there's more channel to be had directly from the source.

anything for TVB? hong kong station? thanks
I don't have any experience with Hong Kong TV stations (or really any outside of english language contries) however doing a quick search I did find this mms link:

mms://live.3tv.cn/tvb

I don't know if they're of any use or not (since I can't speak Chinese - that's what they use in HK - right?) however one good way to see what's out there is to put "mms" and the call letters of the network you're looking for - that's how I found the most recent site for example. MMS is the protocal used for most streaming tv stations btw.

Also I just booted up TVU (see first post) and there are *alot* of foreign stations - however, only being able to speak english I can't tell if they're of any use or not).

The main TVAnts tracker used to have TVB. But the channel seems to be dead now. It still has ATV though.

This was what I was referring to when I said TVAnts isn't updating its main tracker... too many channels going offline.

I listed the mms link for TVB in a previous post however it was stuttering the couple times I tried it so I didn't include it in the first post.

btw - why the huge interest in it?

Sopcast does stream many Chinese mainland TV station, such as CCTV series. May want to include it as it will benefit some Chinese speaking users on this forum.

Excellent post btw.
