I think the nokia 1100 costs $73.99 plus tax = 84.35
subtract the $50 voucher it is $34.35 total for a prepaid phone
it is not a better deal than last year but not bad

I don't think you can get Nokia 1100. 7-11 are selling Nokia 1112 for $75. The deal for last year is to pay $100, get a phone and $100 airtime. This promo is to pay $75, get a phone and $50 airtime. You can see the last year deal is better for $25.

isn't 1100 and 1112 the same crappy phone and the only thing good on it is the flashlight? no?

I am looking for an unlocked phone to use with my t-mobile chip when i go to the us. (unlocking my new z710i would cost me $74-which is more than this phone.) What evidence is there that the phone is really unlocked? I can not find this info other than the first word of the post. Tell me more.. why would it be unlocked?

Is this phone the same as the petro-canada one? Also is this a GSM phone (i.e. does it use a SIM card)? Any info would be most appreciated.

i purchased the white Nokia 1100 from 7-11 last year and when I insert my T-mobile prepaid sim card it boots up and roams to rogers

So I can assume that the phone was unlocked otherwise it would have prompted "invalid sim" or some error.

they are essentially the same phone, a dual band basic phone with a flashlight and no color screen, just different number on the name. Yes they are GSM phone and use sim card

keey in mind that these phones work at 850/1900 bands only they do not qualify as world phone even if they are unlocked.

Confirmed that it is unlocked. I've tried it with a bunch of different SIMs from T-Mobile, Smartone, Sunday, etc.
