First of all i want to thank Dash for this cool freebie screening. Keep 'em coming!
Second, let me tell you my weird but amusing experience at the AMC tonight. This is gonna be a long post...so please bare with me...I am trying to share what happened today to those who couldn't make it. Especially the Rain Fans. Don't sweat it...you didn't miss much...at least in terms of getting some actual time from Rain himself!
I made it too to the movie at like 7:15 (15 minutes early) because i was late buying a Computer Chair (from discounted offer at Staples which expires tommorow). The Chair is sold out online, so I decided to go to the store and ATTEMPT to use my 20$ off 150$ ONLINE only discount there at the store. I printed the email with the coupon and the store manager just gave me the discount there ...and they had the Chair in their warehouse which will be delivered in a day. The cool thing is that the chair (even though discounted) @ $139.99 ....I got the $20 discount...without tying to reach the $150 requirement. So total with Tax was $135 after $20 Discount. So anyone who wants to utilize the discount and use a coupon but can't find the chair online...try going directly to a Staples and give it a shot like I did.
Anyway, after paying for the chair...started heading to AMC and got there as I said 7:15 pm. The lady who takes the invitations (each invitation gives you 2 tickets to watch the movie with a friend/spouse/relative)...appoligizes and tells me people showed up at like 6:30 - 6:45 and it was packed so they ran out of seats. Like Mitboi said above, she gave me the next premiere screening invitation next monday (23rd Nov.) but said that Rain (the star) would not be showing up there and they could not let me into this one because all seats were taken.
She says but you can wait for 15 minutes and he will be showing up and you can take a snapshot or autograph if you want. So I decided...heck..I came all the way here...might as well take a snapshot or videoclip of his arrival.
I have to tell you there were about 15-20 Rain fans (mostly girls...some guys) waiting with pictures for autographs. They looked so excited.
So, Rain arrives on time (in a black suite)....walks through the cinema lounge with like 4 security guards...passing by all his fans....doesn't even stop to give them a smile. I could see the disappointment on the girls faces. I felt bad for them. They were so polite...none of them shouted or screamed when he passed by...they were just speechless and shocked that he ignored them.
He goes all the way to the back of the lounge almost out of sight and takes a couple of formal photos with the movie poster behind him then rushes into the cinema auditorium.
That is all we got to see of him going into the cinema. I ask the Cinema Manager if he will be watching the movie or just be there for a short Q & A or something and exit again. (Thinking he might be kinder to his girl-fans and give them a couple of minutes to sign their autographs or take snapshots with them). The Manager said he will be there for like 30 minutes...and then leave the cinema. I asked if I could just attend the Q & A but the Manager wouldn't allow me in for whatever reason.
So I start talking to the group of girls and guys standing out in the entrance...and this other guy with a professional camera who couldn't even have the time to turn it on to snapshot Rain during his entrance. I tell them to wait till he exits. We chat for a bit...and I make a few jokes that Rain was really quick and slippery like a Ninja in his entrance. I also joked as how they should have mobbed him and surrounded him like real korean-girl-fans. LOL
35 minutes go by, suddenly Rain appears with his security moving even faster towards the elevator in the opposite restaurant. I was able to get a nice 10 second video clip of him exiting. He didn't even look at the fan-girls...AGAIN...but they still were quiet. and as he passed by me I told him ''Hey, Yo, Rain...good luck with the movie"..that kind of grabbed his attention he gave a smile and waved at me as he walked towards the elevator. Then the girls chased him...but were blocked by security ...and a couple of other Girls (from the film company or promoting company) which was funny. Rain has girl bodyguards. Again, his girl fans were very disappointed.
I caught all that in the short clip i recorded. Then all the girls rushed downstairs to try to catch him outside. I was surprised that they were still waiting outside by the time i got down...including the guy with the pro-camera that i mentioned. He was still trying to grab a snapshot.
Anyway, there was a Ninja Assassin (decorated with the poster art) van parked right outside. Inside was the cool guy I met at CINSSU. He remembered me and we joked again about how elusive Rain was with his attendance and quick entry/exit. He said he agreed and was just a decoy. You see all the girls/guys thought rain was in that van. But he was in a black tinted SUV that had just exited the parking and stopped right behind the van.
I pointed it out to the girls and they RAN to the car...they couldn't see anything inside the car..then traffic went green and the car left.
Now i really felt bad for them. So I offered to email them the video clip that i got. They were so happy. I told them you fans should at least get something out of this. They all gave me their email addresses including the pro-camera guy. So I will be sending them the video clip tonight or tomorrow.
I told them Rain felt today like DRIZZLE. LOL
NOW, I was hoping someone who was able to attend today's screening could give us the detailed insight on what happened inside the Cinema when Rain got there. What was discussed? What was said? etc.
If someone has the Videoclip of what went on in there or will post it on Youtube...I am really interested...so please PM me.
If anyone wants the short clip of Rain Exiting the Cinema that i mentioned please let me know with at PM and give me your email to send it to you.
Phew! I felt like I had to report this strange evening. Bottom line is ...I hope the movie is a success....but I was not a fan of Rain anyway...now he just looks like a jerk to his real fans for not giving them even a look or a couple of minutes of his time. He is full of himself. Like he is the biggest star out there.
My sympathy goes to all the fans who were there and were disappointed with his rude/careless attitude.
If anyone was there, give us your feedback!
I was the guy in the Black Leather Jacket and Jeans.
Peace everyone! I hope we can all make it to the next screening. LOL

I also want to thank Dash! He helped me and my friend work out an awesome scheme. I won't relate it here because those of you who didn't get to go might get...mad.
As Scorpion said, you didn't miss much. He went to the front before the film, said a few rushed words...that I couldn't understand (except...kiss ass...something something) and then sat in the audience. He was wearing aviators...why!??!?! I got THE WORST pic of him. Honestly it was blurry and looked like we were thousands of miles away. And then that was it!
After the screening (ok honestly I am extremely afraid of blood and gore. this film was a ketchup-fest! omg, I was soooo scared and cringing throughout, don't laugh!) me and my friend tried to look for him. After a few futile attempts, we ask the girl working there, "He left at 7 something."
OMG OMG! I only feel somewhat good because no on else got to meet him. hehe I know that's mean. But I'm glad I didn't miss out.
Ok HONESTLY he's not that popular here!!!!! I thought FOR SURE we would all get pictures with him!!!!!!!!! I was disappointed as was my friend. I wanted to blame him for making me watch bloody limbs flying for 2 hrs. And then let him make it up to me by taking a picture with me.
boo hoo =(

With the posters and trailers that have been showing, you can tell this would have lots of blood and gore.

it's a shame that alot of people didn't get to meet him or even get a wave hello. I'm not really up on the asian music scene, so I couldn't care less about seeing him. If I knew people wanted to see a video so bad, I would have brought the minoHD cam I won from Pepsi to film his little intro. Maybe next time. I've only met a few celebrities who weren't very talkative when I worked for the Film Festival, and it's funny, cause they're the ones you probably wouldn't even care to talk to (well, I wouldn't care to talk to anyways).
For Korean stars, I met Byung-hun Lee and Woo-sung Jung last year and they were nice enough to take photos with some fans that recognized them and sign autographs. they were class acts.

So Dash....give us your briefing on what Rain said exactly in the 30-40 minutes when he was inside the cinema with the Audience?
Why oh why didn't you shoot the video Dash!! LOL Kidding
Yeah, I totally agree....he just didn't give a $%#@ about the poor fans waiting for him outside! It's like he thinks he's some Hollywood big-shot or something. I mean basically there was a total of about 10-15 people at the entrance...not a big autograph/photograph fan-base by far...and still he couldn't spare the time to give them his autorgraph or take a photo with them. That was really sad.

By the way, how did you find out about the Ninja Assassin screening?
Are you a part of the CINSSU team or do you have friends there who informed you about it? Just curious, dude.
