Free WiFi At Home Depot Now actually works!!

I noticed an unsecured access point while in my St. Vital Winnipeg Home Depot. It was titled along the lines of "Home Depot Guest Access" but I could not connect to it.

Store staff knew nothing about it.

Ok Ok - I give!!! Mea Culpa. I thought selecting 'other' as a category was good enough.

I called Home Depot Canada & they confirmed some stores are getting the free wifi - if you use a smartphone you need to start your browser to click on a 'I agree' box' before you get in. Free wifi might be of use to some RFD members when wanting to look up a 'real' hot deal that they forgot the details on. ... As I take it a real RFD member would not spend money on a phone data plan.

People are getting dumber by the day. Seen so many of these 'not even deals' in the hot deals forum.

I'm crying I'm laughing so hard. This is definately a hot deal. A Wifi spot that you can't connect to.

Your know, it's not really true until it's confirmed. I'm pretty sure some person activated a wireless hotspot with that name.

Too many possibilities.

I went to McDonalds and Starbucks, they price matched it no problem.

but yeah, there is free wifi, it takes FOREVER to connect, when you can connect.

There should be a "FAIL" button right next to the "thanks"

Don't worry too much about all the comments people are making.
I'm made posts in the past that some people weren't happy with.
Don't let that stop you from posting in the future.
