$40 10GB Canada wide calling for existing Public Mobile Customers

Price:
40
Retailer:
Freedom Mobile
https://mobilesyrup.com/2017/08/17/free ... customers/

Looks like Freedom is launching a promo in response to the recent Public Mobile promo.

Starting today, customers of Telus, Koodo or Public can port over to an exclusive Smartphone 40 10GB plan, which has all the features of Freedom’s regular Smartphone 40 plan but includes 10GB of full speed LTE data rather than the usual 4GB.

If only there service was comparable. I have had so many roaming charges even though I am in lte zone with a lte phone purchased from them. No explanation of why.

I was with Wind for years before switching to PM last Fall during their $40/12GB/3months promo.

I wouldn't switch back to Wind (whatever, Freedom Mobile) even if they paid me $40 a month.

not worth it once you got the $38/4gb PM plan. Now if someone else like Fido or Virgin could offer something like this (even half as much data), I would leave PM in a heartbeat.

Unfortunately no Freedom in where I am. Even if there was, I still wouldn't do it. In London a while back, I've heard the service isn't the greatest and it's almost non existent outside major cities. I'd take the PM deal anyday over Freedom's. Quality over quantity.
Please do not PM me with requests for assistance, unless I PM you first, or if I give you permission to. That's what the forums are for!

freedom mobile is cheap for roaming outside of Canada. 5p/mb in the states.
I use freedom mobile when I travel to Europe. Pay 8 bucks for world traveller's package, 20 cents/m phone call, 20 cents/mb for google maps, news etc. Very reasonable.
Mexico travel package is also very good.

may have to just sign up for a 2nd cheap PM line just to get this to use as extra data.

Definitely wouldn't switch my actual service though. Even if it was 100gb

I use them in the GTA...pretty decent service. I pay 35 for 10gb 3G w/ unlimited Canada and US calling included.

But you have to get one of their phones to be able to connect to their LTE though, right?
