[Freedom Mobile] Freedom Mobile $5 credit per month for 3 mths for SMS service outage

I couldn't send a text message for about 7 hours yesterday.

I hit up FM on a chat today looking for a credit for the service interruption. I had already called in yesterday to ask about the SMS service and I was able to provide the reference number for the call on today's chat.

The CSR offered me a $5 credit for the next 3 months. I accepted based on a long thread on RFD when something like this happened before, but I can't find that thread now.

Update: Crying Face I found the previous thread. https://forums.redflagdeals.com/freedom ... #p31165847

this is the reply i got from the rep

how can i be compensated for this outage

Steve at 16:29, Jan 23:
I'm not aware of any compensation for this outage at this time. Compensation is always calculated after the issue has been resolved, so we can base it off exactly how long the outage lasts

i asked for a note to be put on my account that i will be contacting back for a compensation

"I understand what you feel about this and as a compensation I will going to provide you a $5 off for 4 months on your account, is that fine for you?"

Yeah, Jeff said he can't compensate until after the issue is resolved.

Nice....I reset my phone last night and everything, thought I had messed with the settings somewhere. I'll see if I can get a credit.

Got $5 for 2 months. I didn't bother haggling for more.

Thanks OP! Initially it was $5 only...then "Cassie" did $5 for 2 months..then I said that I understand they've been doing $5 for 4 months and she went ahead and did it.
