I don't mind trying FM, but cannot afford to lose my number if I want to return & cancellation cost would be too high.
You don't lose your number if you port back out, and you can return the phone for a full refund within the 15-day trial period. There's no cost other than the days of service (if you port out, $0 if you just cancel).

Thanks for replying..
I understand I won't lose number if I port out. My question was if I just port out which will automatically cancel the service, can I just go back to Freedom with the phone and revert all charges accumulated until then & get off from contract obligation?

Doesn't Freedom use Rogers for their roaming network? In b4 they get kicked off for doing this.

Yes, you can return the phone within the 15-day remorse period, in as-new condition and having used less than 50% of your data allotment, with no contract obligation or penalty, as provided by the CRTC Wireless Code. You will have paid $0 for the device (in this case), and owe $0. If you had made an upfront payment that would be refunded.

As far as paying for the actual days of service goes, Freedom's policy is to not charge if it's a cancellation at POS within the 15-days. If it's a port-out you may be billed for the actual days of service.

Their giving away these current Iphone models because the new Iphone comes out in September like always. I wouldn't hop on this unless you don't care about upgrading phones. Not to mention, the XR is the worst model between the XS and XS Max.
The xr is regarded by many as the best due to the battery life.

it depends. All carriers have an agreement for their extended coverages.

For example, I am using Rogers. I went to Whistler and Rogers barely have any towers there, my phone will automatically switch to Bell or Telus network. It will say "EXT" beside my Rogers signal sign.
No charges for the customer but Rogers will give you warnings if you use more than 50% of your data usage in that area.

Oh, such a good deal. Unfortunately, I got $100/month deal for XS on January. I wish I could have this deal tbh.

What happens to your phone number if you port from Fido to Freedom, then decide within 15 days to return the Freedom mobile phone?

Would this scenario work if I wanted to try out Freedom? (Currently with Bell 10GB plan).

1. Activate a Fido tablet plan
2. Port out to Freedom to get XR at $55
3. Try out for 15 days - if coverage works, then port in my actual Bell number?

Other Q: is the $200 GC/PCpoints available to any carrier customer? or just Fido/Rogers?
