Freedom mobile phone compatability

I would like to ask if I got a smart phone from Freedom, can I bring it to Bell or Rogers to get a plan?
Thanks!

In b4 something goes wrong.

Short answer is yes.

Long answer...IAOI (If And Only If)
  1. the phone is unlocked. If it's locked, get unlock code from Freewind. If you've hit the 10 failed attempts, you're SOL (like AmEx at Loblaws)
  2. The APN is pre-loaded for data connectivity on Bell or Rogers (or carrier of your choosing), or you're able to configure it manually
  3. There's no hardware damage preventing cellular connectivity
  4. Phone's not blacklisted
