French doors

I plan on replacing some sliding doors provided by the builder with some french doors. I have an opening of approx 63 7/8" to work with. If I goe with
2 x 32" doors from Home depot, how much should I trim off to compensate for gaping, hinges etc..

Any feedback is appreciated. :cheesygri

I hope you're not buying french doors! As you're replacing a patio door you should be looking for garden doors. French doors are not exterior doors, garden doors are. Garden doors will easily replace a patio door, if it's a 5 foot door now a 5 foot garden door will fit. They come prehung and primed ready for paint.
