French's Caesar Mix - Disgusting

I bought a bottle of French's new Caesar mix to try it out. I can't adequately describe how disgusting it was. I poured the rest of the (big) bottle away. No hint of clam, not spicy, no Worcester taste ...... Stick to Clamato

Your post makes me want to try it now.

Here's a YouTube reviewer. She mentions two different mixes:
- Original
- "Fully Loaded"

Which did you have?

I got the fully loaded.

She looks like a product shill.

It still tastes like crap. But thank god for Canadian tomatoes

For my favourite cocktail (Caesar), I would only use Clamato. The rest of the seasoning is so easy to do yourself.

Back from the dead... I bought a bottle of French’s Caesar mix as I was in search of an alternate to Motts Clamato. Why would I be looking for an alternate to the tastiest Caesar mix ever? MSG. It’s so loaded up with MSG that I can’t tolerate it anymore. Not sure why they have to use so much, but it’s the #2 ingredient on the label, telling me that the’s a pile of crap in the mix.

Two options out there, French’s (no listed MSG) and Walters (an organic alternate).

I’ve had the Walters, it’s thicker in texture and much richer in tomato flavour, not something I really enjoyed. The label shows a great list of friendly ingredients, so I’d have no problem drinking it, just not my first choice now. A 1L glass bottle is $8...

The French’s alternate is available in 2 formats, regular and fully loaded. The FL has all the spices included, not my first choice. The regular is similar to Motts, in texture and flavour. No MSG is the real winner here for me. If you understand what MSG is all about, the French’s will be a go to for you at some point as well. Cost is a bit higher than the Clamato, $4 for a 1.89L bottle...
