FS: 4Gig SanDisk SDHC $29.99
I figure if one 2Gb SD for $15 is a good price (at Dell), then double that for double the capacity is pretty good.

yeah but that's patriot...OCZ and PNY are also cheaper but this is SanDisk.
I'm not a brand-snob, but I'll be using this for my DSLR and Nikon only recommends SanDisk, Toshiba and Panasonic. For a few bucks more, I prefer to stick to the bigger names.

well, you can't say OCZ or Patriot are "no-name" brands. they've been around for a while.
OCZ has been around since 2000, and Patriot Memory since as far back as 1985, according to:
http://www.ocztechnology.com/aboutocz/
http://patriotmemory.com/company/aboutUs.jsp#profile
EDIT: so according to Sandisk's website, they've been around since 1988

Nah, I wouldn't say cold...depends on your needs. Speed vs. capacity.
What most people don't understand is that for most digital camera applications, the speed is limited by the buffer, not the speed of the card. Read/write speeds only become important when transferring to the computer.

Anyone know if this could possibly work in a Canon SD700IS?
I know it only take regular SD and this is SDHC... but has anyone had experience to see if this still works?

Yeah for Flash Memory brands I try to stick to the major ones like, Lexar or SanDisk, those are basically the elite, other good brands are Kingston and Panasonic.
Though the prices on Patriot, A-Data, Transcend, OCZ, which are all RAM memory companies are tough to ignore._______________

SD and SDHC are pretty much two different formats in the same shell.
In order to use SDHC cards your device has to be SDHC compatible (it should have teh SDHC logo). All SD cards larger than 2 Gb are supposed to be SDHC (although there are a few rogue non-standard 4 Gb SD-ordinary cards out there)
