I wouldn't necessarily say that, its better to say they're hit or miss, I'm still using my OG Mamba just fine.

Deathadder is comfy as hell. But my 2012 or 2013's laser or button crapped out. Can't rmb which. Switched to M65. Not nearly as comfy but nicer build quality so far.

I'd pay 30 or 35 for a deathadder. But for 50 rather get something better.

Pretty sure it's the double click issue right? My friend went through 2 in like 2-3 years or something.

In my opinion, Steelseries sells good quality products. Some mice can be had for under $50 which comes with all the flashy lights and what not when on sale.

I'm using this Guild Wars 2 branded Steelseries mice that i got for like $25 from EBGames maybe 2 years ago and no problems so far. I got a bunch and gave them to my buddies and no problems from them also.

I've always had top of the line Logitech gaming mouses, and while they do last longer, I wouldn't mind paying 50$/year to use a Deathadder assuming it would fail the day the warranty ends. My G9X and G500s never see any use now, but it's a matter of taste.

My razer mouse has outlasted all my logitech mice. YMMV on any item.

Logitech FTW. The only Razer mouse I've had was the highly-reviewed Copperhead, which I hated due to how light it was and how uncomfortable it was to hold. I don't know if it was for designed for the sole niche of FPS claw-hold lovers, but I ended up using it for office work - so that I could get at least SOME useful life out of it.

Logitech are a different story. MX500 had an awesome design, which ended up being used for most of their other upper-range gaming market. From that lineup, I've had MX510, G5 (both v1 and v2), and now G500. Plus a bunch of other Logitech mice - m510, VX Revolution. These things just won't quit. Both MX510 and G5 are about 8yrs old now, with no issues.

The only one I disliked was their flagship back in 2005, MX1000. Damn thing would have wireless connection issues, and rechargeable battery was pretty bad (held charge for a couple of weeks at most, whereas most other mice using AA batteries would last for over a year).

True that. After 9 months my DeathAdder 2013 started registering double left clicks instead of single left clicks. It took 2.5 weeks of email communication for them to finally ship out a replacement (Razer DeathAdder Chroma). Email replies would take 24-48 hrs. Once it got to the RMA team it took 3-4 days.

I highly recommend Roccat mice and products.
I have tried all these mice, Logitech, Razer, RAT, Thermaltake, etc and by far the best mouse I have used is my Kone Pure. I am planning on also getting a Roccat Tyon which is about to be released and is looking amazing.

My Kone is soooooo comfortable and super accurate

I was actually shopping for a new mouse, decided to go with a gaming mouse. Picked up a $19.99 G100s from staples (50% off). Not looking for the huge bells and whistles, just quality and more or less an introductory gaming mouse.

Been using it since yesterday and I've got to admit, it's probably one of my best purchases in a while

Lol. Airdrie Staples had a 75% off clearance table this past week. Logitech G400s for $6.99. I may never need to buy another mouse.

Same experience. Damn annoying when playing FPSs.
