Its part of FS DOD promo, so OP may want to mention its one day only.

They also have a 400GB for $55 and 320GB for $50.

Not sure about the PVR. I think (I read somehwere) that you need an external drive with its own AC adapter as the PVR USB port was not designed to power external devices.

Is this one of those 2.5" externals that requires two USB ports for additional power? It doesn't say in the product description, but I remember purchasing an external 2.5" drive in store and returning it because I discovered (before opening the package) that you needed 2 USB ports and my Apple TV only has 1.

THis is gunna be almost as big as the BB zdata 500GB thread which was 69.99. Alot of people got that drive as it was a good Toshiba dual platter drive inside. Question is, whats in this one.

Only prob is that this is a one day only deal, so we cannot discuss it over and over and over and answer the same question over and over and over to those too lazy to read the whole thread. So I guess its buy now, return later.

Did u read the reviews? Bunch of dumbass's. I wouldnt take their reviews as credible sources. One guy complained that he dropped his from his coffee table and it did not work after, ya, what a piece of junk!

It's a misprint. They just mean the standard maximum USB data transfer rate of 480 Mbps. The real data transfer rates of USB drives that I have tested run 15 - 25 Mbytes/sec.
