this has been $19.99 before.
a better deal would be the extended edition which has been on sale for $39.99 (maybe even $35?)

Extended version has been $40 on Amazon.ca twice before http://ca.lightningdrops.com/product/B004HEWNBO it'll probably be that price again soon. Normal version is $30 all the time and has been as low as $20 http://ca.lightningdrops.com/product/B0036DQTAI. You can sign up to get notified when it drops in price if you want.

Seriously, who needs the extended edition? LOTR movies long enought the way they are. I purchased the regular edition at $14.99 last year and couldn't even watch a single movie in the same sitting. Took me over a week to watch the whole trilogy.

Ice cold deal.
This sucker was $20 for the longest tIme last year. And that was every store possible. Even SDM and GT had it for $20.
I would wait before pulling the trigger on this one.

I agree they are drawn out films. But informed collectors know that the picture quality of the regular edition, in particular the 1st film, is quite poor, and is improved in the extended version. While sharper, the extended version has added some weird coloration, so the inevitable next edition is probably the one to get.
