I just wrote up this guide for anyone who might want to fiddle with this phone, I was able to get everything to work even as a new comer to Android, feel free to link.

And opposed to common belief, this phone runs faster on ICS than stock Gingerbread!

You just reminded me of something... a little trick, I was able to get rid of the "not eligible for prepaid credit" message dang namit!

Let me try this a second time with another phone I have (the LG01)... I will explain once I verify a second time it works... I need a third Telus HPSA phone...

I will also need to verify this once more. This might not work for everyone. The basis of the trick is the following.

1- If you buy a new prepaid phone it has a credit married to the serial number and not the SIM card.

2- IF you stick in an active Koodo or Telus SIM card it willsee the phone on the network and associate it with the active SIM, thus when you go to activate the new telus phone on prepaid it will see that the serial number has an association and then say "this phone is on another profile blah blah no $50 credit for you". Since 1 SIM can only be associated with 1 phone, what you have to do it place the SIM back into the original phone and the association will revert back to the original phone, THEN you activate.

3- I am going to see what will happen if I stick the SIM card into another Telus phone and see if it will reset the association of 2 other prepaid phone that I messed up...

Will give that a try when I get home then... The Telus sim wasn't in the phone when I last tried the activation. I'll report back~

@kanaries - Good idea to post the instructions here, I used that thread last week to flash ICS. One step screwed mine up - which was the recommendation to go back to Froyo. YOU DO NOT NEED THAT. Flash ICS over GB. Confirmed by others as well.
