[Games] FS: Pokemon X/Y pre-orders for $34.99. Save $5 off normal 3DS game price!

While looking at pre-orders on Future Shop's website, I noticed the pre-order price for recently-announced Pokemon X and Pokemon Y for 3DS at $34.99. Most new 3DS games cost $39.99, so you're saving 5 bucks by pre-ordering. A better deal might come along, but it wouldn't hurt to lock in at this price in case they go up to $39.99 before release.

Ugh, my brother and I split the 3DS XL and the Vita, but it seems I'm going to have to get another 3DS at some point so we can both play this game...

It's hard to tell what the situation will be for their trade promo nine months later or even the qualifiers after this whole T2 for $60 clean-up. When was the last time they had a Trade 1 anyway? Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask?

I thought it was Cabela and Marvel for Wii U? That was in December.

I agree it's a tad early to pre-order. Probably just Futureshop getting ahead of themselves because they know about the hype behind it.

I'll rather spend the extra $5 for an official pre-order later on, probably with some limited edition goodies thrown in.

Pretty sure there will be opportunities to pre order this for cheaper than this. Probably when E3 2013 rolls around.
