FS: Sennheiser PC350 Gaming Headset - $169.99, good price!
The PC350 gaming headset is on sale for $169.99 (from $219.99) at Futureshop. This is not the cheapest it's been, but this is actually a very good price.
I think I will pick one up to try it out. Apparently, they have HD 595 drivers in them -- that's pretty awesome.

It's a good headset for $170. This may have 595 drivers, but it doesn't sound a thing like them. This is due to the open vs closed nature of the two headphones, plus the fact that the housing sucks donkey testicles. This thread shows that a slight mod will open it up a great deal.
Personally, I'd rather just get a different set for $170 and buy a clip-on mic. Hell, you could just sticky tack it on.

I'm loving mine. Had to pay regular price plus shipping from NCIX.
Why does everything get a price cut or a new model released shortly after I buy an item? I should make a website that lists what I buy so that people can use it as a guide on what's about to go on sale in the next two weeks.

For a bit cheaper, I just picked up the Audio Technica ATH-A500's from audiocubes.com. No attached mic, but the general consensus is that they're awesome gaming headphones with a great soundstage.

I own a pair of PC350 and I find them excellent both for gaming and for general use. The hassle of having an extra mic wasn't worth it for me and in the end, I can say that the included mic works extremely well. I have no negative comments about this headset after a good 6 months of use.
