Are you willing to spend more money on lenses and learn to use the dSLR?

FS: SX10IS 379$ VS Rebel XS 449$
Which one is a better deal?
I currently own an S2IS but there is one dead pixel on the sensor so it kinda sucks, I always have a white pixel in the pictures.
I'm not really hardcore into photography, so i'm debating if the DSLR is worth it... The XS has more potential, but the SX10IS has 20x zoom which would require another lens with the XS.
Anyone can guide me?

This is the part I'm not sure of.
I'm not convinced I'm using it enough to justify the lenses and more money spent. But if the XS is a way better deal, it's not out of the question.

How do you like your S2 is, if you like its image quality and features, then SX10 IS is probably good. If you like to get much better image quality, get a DSLR.

I do like my S2... Guess the SX10 would do the trick. I'm just unsure if the deal is really a deal... it's 399 right now, so only a 20$ discount on BD... Don't know if I should pull the trigger or wait after x-mas.
