I'm going to do this. Just get the phone with the 100 GC. And the 25 referral credit.and pay the 100. Then just go home switch the account to prepaid. The next day back back to bb then get the price match through the customer service counter. In line at best buy now. :-)

I went to two bestbuys and they both said to get this phone for $99.99 you must sign up for a combo plan. Both of them also mentioned that Virgin mobile just changed it this evening.

Ah, don't know then. Their website still says super tab so maybe you can argue. Yes the Koodoo S2X can be unlocked easily for $15, or in a time consuming method for $8. It also works with Wind/Mobi as this one won't.

Thanks for the response. I'll go back into bestbuy get the sII x from koodoo, sign up for cheapest plan possible, and then cancel + pay off the tab. Is this correct?

I got this phone few days ago, and based on of the previous threads, I have root and and sim unlock it.

I wonder, if I will receive OTA update, can I safely upgrade it? or there is something I need to be aware of?

Any recommendation of custom ROM for this phone? CM10, or any other option? Much appreciated!

I like Bajee's Root Box JB with Dorimanx Kernel. When I was using the S2, it was the smoothest ROM, and it had the best battery life with the Kernel. At least 4.5 hours of screen time, which is just unheard of.
