Am i smelling that you guys are going to get this phone thru Virgin, then after the first month you would cancel it, pay off the tab ($150+$first month fee+$25)and use the phone on other providers?

Most probably will, if they are under contract elsewhere. But some of Virgin's montly and prepaid plans are pretty decent. Their $30 promo with 100MB data and Canada-Wide calling, CID, VM is decent for a light data user. And you can keep the Tab and reduce the balance by $3 a month.

I doubt bestbuy csr would pm future shop and give you the gift card at the same time. Still a good deal for non wind users.

Just got back from BestBuy in Woodbridge, they had a few S2s in the drawer... I got a white one, they PMd futureshop with a printout, but did not give me the gift card Some bull about their vendor getting paid.

BB is offering a $75 gift card with the purchase of the phone. I didn't feel like fighting for it, but other people may want to.

Why wait until after the first month to cancel? Just port out to prepaid right after buying the phone so that you don't have to pay that months service fee. Unless VM has become more strict with porting to prepaid after signing up on tab. Probably a better chance of getting the GC at a Best Buy Mobile Shop instead of going into an actual Best Buy store

I see what you mean, cancel witin the first day and paid like $1(in addition to $150+$25+tax), port to prepaid(free) and not to pay a dim on prepaid if you don't use it. Am i right? or is there a catch on their prepaid(35cents/min one) ?

Switching to prepaid is free and you don't need to give them 30 days notice, hence not having to pay the 1 month service fee of the plan you got on the Tab. After being switched to prepaid, just ignore it and it will close from inactivity.

I canceled and went to Prepaid but was never charged for Supertab. Should I be worried that they might screw me over?

Is really a good deal. I told my cousin about it and he got one from futureshop for $25.00 +tax and $150.00 on super tab. Thanks OP
