Here's some info on how to transplant this panel into an X60/X61 http://thinkpads.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=64002
From my reading this is not for the faint-of-heart.
BTW you may want to post your for-sale in that thread or on that forum's BST section. You're likely to find a wider audience there.

FS: X61/X61S SXGA+ LCD Panel - SOLD
Hello,
I would like to sell an LCD Screen for the Lenovo Thinkpad X61. These screens are on ebay for $250USD + $30 shipping. I purchased the item from ebay user browngranite (you can search thinkpad forums and see that he is a reputable vendor of thinkpad LCDs).
**BONUS** I ordered a screen protector from invisible shields and put it on the screen. I will leave it on the screen for the buyer to have for free.
Installation:
-Installing the screen is quite easy and takes about 30 minutes if you know what you are doing. I can offer help to install it since I have done it a few times already.
-IBM has videos online to show you how to open disassemble every part of the thinkpad:
http://www.lenovoservicetraining.com/ion/
-The hardware manual also shows pictures of how to disassemble the LCD:
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/si...cid=MIGR-62866
Description:
-BOEHYDIS HV121P01-101
-This is the standard screen that IBM/Lenovo uses for their sxga X series thinkpads. You can confirm this if you research thinkpad forums.
-The screen itself is in perfect condition. It has no dead pixels and the image is very nice. Its hard to go back to XGA resolution after using it.
-The screen has nice vivid brightness with 190nit. (Standard XGA is 195nit and the Multitouch XGA is 150nit).
-no software/BIOS modifications are necessary...just plug and play.
Reason for Selling:
-I was trying to buy an X61 but ended up getting an x61 tablet so this screen will not work because it does not have the tablet digitizer glass. However, I did test the screen in my x61t just to verify it was working. Pics are below
Price:
$330 obo

That thread is referring to upgrading an x60 with sxga. It is very diffcult because the sxga was never released for the x60 laptop. The process requires custom soldering of the LCD cable and a modified BIOS.
However, if you want to upgrade an x61 to sxga my screen is just plug and play with no cable modification necessary. The orginal BIOS already includes microcode for sxga so no modifications are necessary for the BIOS either.
