The problem with Lexus is that they’ve always been “specifically vague” with their wording on this because they don’t get into recommended vs required.

They only refer to Recommended which is what’s at the top heading row of the chart in your link.

So their Recommendation of 91 for the RX450h might mean that it requires 91, but it might also mean that 87 is fine but 91 will improve performance, mileage, and so is merely recommended for your driving experience.

All that said, I’d err on the side of considering their Recommended to = Required

Gift was delivered. Dads very happy and surprised.

Side note: even though the EV function on the RX is a bit gimmicky it actually is pretty cool to use if you stay under 40km/h and have a very soft foot on the pedal.

Overall the lexus is in mint condition very happy with the purchase
