Full Screen on Secondary Display (HDTV)
So here is my issue. Today I received my dvi to hdmi adapter and the cable.. So i ran it to my Radeon 4850.. My primary display is my 22Inch LCD monitor at 1680x1050 and my secondary is my Samsung LCD at 1920x1080..
Now my question is regarding running applications on full screen mode on the TV (Secondary)..
When I try to run games like Left 4 Dead in Full Screen.. it automatically pulls me back to my LCD monitor to fullscreen when I want to play on my TV. And it won't allow me to play at the full 1920x1080 res.. it'll only allow me to display the primary res at 1680x1050..
Also.. certain apps like VLC don't like to run full screen on the secondary display..
Is there anyway around this?

Regarding VLC: It's a known problem with the newest(newer?) version(s) that they won't go full screen on a secondary display. You could just mirror your primary onto the secondary since it's just a movie though.
Or you could go look for an older version of VLC. I think the 8.x ones didn't have this problem.

THanks.. I realized that its a application issue and not with the hardware.. so it varies among what application i'm running..
Instead of opening a new thread.. Does anybody know if running 2 displays out decreases the performance of the video opposed to just using 1 video out? (such as a monitor?).. Would I get a better FPS if I played dedicated to 1 display rather than playing on both displays.. thanks for your help guys!
