Full Size 2-Story Home Built Out of Lego

England: Top Gear co-host James Mays has constructed a full size two-story house out of Lego with the assistance of almost 1,000 volunteers. The 3.3-million-block residence even has a working toilet and shower.

The Lego house is facing destruction unless a buyer can be found before Tuesday as Denbies Wine Estate, where the house is built, have asked for the construction to be shifted so harvesting can begin.

"Knocking it down is just wrong on every level. It's a really lovely thing -- it would break the hearts of the 1,000 people who worked like dogs to build it," said May.

I don't think it is practical to live in but rather just a show. Besides the house can be moved to a warmer climate if someone is crazy enough to do so.

I just find it surprising that even Legoland doesn't want it.

It would have been nice if they accepted donations. Imagine each kid donating a dollar, that would have saved this house.

personally i think it's nothing really special that Legoland would bother saving. I mean, what would they do with some big plain looking block house? Now if they built some cathedral or something with more architectural design then maybe it's worth saving and put it on display. It just looks like something that any team can build with a lot of time and money to waste.

Completely agreed. It's even less of an accomplishment seeing as there are wooden foundation. Meh.

You should have seen some of the other ludicrous projects featured in May's TV series. My favorite was the plasticine garden that was actually a hit at the Chelsea Garden Show... aka the Oscars of Horticulture.....
