Rona often has furnace filters on sale. The ones I get are a non standard size and hard as hell to find, rona is one of the only places I ever found them other than ordering them in.. and they are only $1.99 each! I change them often because they are not as high quality as the 3m but for $2 I don't complain much!

Furnace Filters?
Every month I have to change the 1" pleated furnace filter.
Electrostatic filters aren't recommended since you have to wash them all the time.
These 3m filters are expensive at canadian tire or home depot.
Is there a place to buy them in bulk (box of 12 or 24) at a good price? Or some online place with cheap canadian shipping? Need Merv rating of 8 or so.
Where's the best deal?

I do not know who told you that and why, because of washing? I have two, I interchange them regularly (depending on the usage of the furnace and fan). It takes a few minutes to wash and then I let that one air dry until ready to change again. Have not bought a new filter in several years. and it looks like I won/t be needing one soon.
I have the furnace inspected and cleaned annually and the guy that inspects and cleans it says that the filter is doing a good job.
